One of the developers actively using iGrid ActiveX in Microsoft Access, Eckhard Petersen, sent us the following question in email correspondence. We publish it on this forum "as is" with his consent. His question contains some ideas that can help you to solve problems with iGrid in Access.

Quote:

I have a general Question
Let me describe a few things before.

Word and Excel use a UserForm. In this UserForm iGrid was handling as iGrid.object (An unconfirmed acceptance of me)
And if you want to use OLE… Events the reference to the “c:\windows\SysWow64\msvbvm60.dll\3” included automatic.

Word and Excel VBA have hardly any malfunctions.

This behavior can be adjusted in ACCESS VBA by a trick.
DIM WithEvents … & References.AddFromFile "c:\windows\SysWow64\msvbvm60.dll\3"
And now ACCESS VBA have hardly any malfunctions too.

What is the reason why ACCESS VBA can’t handle the iGrid like Word & Excel?
If there is a reason for it, it would be helpful to describe this in the forum or in the help file.
