I need to restrict the cell dropdown so the user can only select what is displayed in the list and not type their own value in. Is this possible?

Specify the NoTextEdit flag in the TypeFlags property.

A C# example for a whole column:

iGrid1.Cols[myColIndex].CellStyle.TypeFlags = iGCellTypeFlags.NoTextEdit;

For an individual cell:

iGrid1.Cells[myRowIndex, myColIndex].TypeFlags = iGCellTypeFlags.NoTextEdit;
