So i know it is possible for user to change column order via drag and drop. what events / properties would be used to read the changes made so we can save the column order for the next time the program is run?

As for me, I would save the column layout when the form is closed. If you want to do this right after every interactive change of a column width or order, use the ColWidthEndChange and ColHdrEndDrag events.

Just FYI if you didn't know it: the LayoutObject property can help you a lot in saving/restoring the column layout.
