I just downloaded the "iGrid ActiveX 7.5 Portable Demo" . This says that I don't need to register the OCX's files.

When I go into excel VBA I browsed the OCX file in the references but it stays as "MISSING".



Could someone please help me ?

The References dialog in VB6/VBA shows ActiveX controls that are registered in the Windows registry. The portable iGrid demo is a special exe that 'knows' how to find the iGrid and ImageList OCXs in the OCX subfolder without having those OCXs registered in the registry. The portable demo does not register them in the registry - that's why you do not see them in the references dialog. Only the full demo installer does this work as a part of the installation process.
